What to Expect...

Guides/Educators

Our team of educators and guides are extensively trained and qualified in all areas concerning the outdoors. They are knowledgeable and experienced, and all our staff has a strong commitment for providing exceptional service, a great learning environment and a good time. Our guides are certified with recognized accreditation institutions, all guides take part in extensive training programs and each guide offers a unique set of skills.

Safety is our number one concern. Every guide has extensive training, that allows him/her to make proper judgements on all matters of safety. Our guides will show you unspoiled areas of the Canadian Wilderness away from the much visited attractions. Our guides are easy going, humorous, and are always up for having a good time.

Transportation

Transportation is provided by minibus. Equipment and luggage is transported in either trailers or roof racks. This includes any transportation between airports and hotels/youth-hostels.

Accomodations

Accommodations are in the form of the highest quality tents. The romantic atmosphere around a warm burning camp fire is central to what we do.

Group Equipment and Outfitting

We use only the highest quality equipment. We realize that in the rugged and extreme conditions of the outdoors only the best equipment will do. Our gear is selected according to each individual program, tour, or expedition, and it is suited and designed to keep you comfortable and safe. When required we also carry GPS and satellite phones in the improbable case of emergencies.

Meals

All meals are cooked outside on the wood fire, or on a wood or gas stove. Meals are delicious and nutritious and we strive to provide a diverse and abundant menu. These can consist of a combination of fresh, freeze dried, or dried products (depending on the remoteness of the program). Breakfast can include such things as muffins, breads, pancakes, cold/hot cereals, etc. Lunch usually consists of breads (rye, whole wheat, bagels),cheese, meats, tuna, peanut butter, fruits, etc, and dinner can comprises a variety of dishes all the way from pasta based to stir-fry, and B.B.Q, (including dessert). Vegetarian options are available.

Skill Level Ability of Participant

The only true ability that we require from any participant is the ability to have fun, to laugh and have a great time outdoors. Most of our trips (unless otherwise specified) require no previous skill levels or experience. We provide all the necessary training. What we hope though is, that you are enthusiastic about the outdoors and look forward to learning new skills or fine tuning existing ones, be it either on an easy river, challenging white-water, backpacking, or mountain-biking trips.

We are also welcoming in accommodating specials needs, specific situations or disabilities. We request though that these be communicated to us ahead of time so that we may modify and adjust our programs in order to provide proper satisfaction and success for every one of our participants.

Group Dynamic

As our programs, trips and tours are executed in small groups, you will soon come to appreciate and enjoy group dynamics. We enjoying the spectacular beauty of the Canadian Wilderness together and strive to have fun, working to develop a strong integrated team.
