Winter Canyoning in the Rockies - Half Day
Description:
Rappel & hike through a world of ice on this one of a kind Rockies adventure. Your professional guide will teach, assist, and coach you on how to safely manoeuvre and rappel down frozen waterfalls, and through a variety of different slot canyons frozen in mid-stream. A truly unique winter Ice adventure and the only experience of its kind in the Canadian Rockies. Escape the crowds and experience something completely different.
Never tried rappelling before, no problem! Our guides will teach you all the necessary skills, and our canyons are progressive in their nature. That means they start off easy and grow in the length of the rappels, allowing you to grow your confidence as you descend.
Price: Adult (18+): $145 plus tax
Youth (15 -17): $125 plus tax
Child (12 - 14): $105 plus tax
Length: 4 - 5 Hours
Group Size: 2 - 6 Participants
*(A minimum group size of 2 participants is required for any one departure, if minimum group sizes are not met me way may have to cancel or reschedule the trip)
Difficulty Level: Easy/Moderate. Suitable for ages 12+

A Little More Info:
Family friendly, and great for participants of all ages, young or old. We require only a moderate level of fitness for the approach hike up to the top of the canyon. Participants should be comfortable with hiking for approximately between 30 min and 60min, but don't stress we take our time.
2022/23 Days of Operation:
Our winter canyon adventures are available twice daily, between December 17th - March 11th. We run one morning and one afternoon departure daily. Private bookings are also available 7 days a week

Good winter outdoor clothing and good winter boots are essential. The following list covers a wide range of possibilities. should sunny warm conditions be forecast some items may be unnecessary. Remember that weather can change quickly in the mountain so even if the day starts out warm you may still need extra layers in the afternoon.
